Gone Essay June 9th

Have you ever been away from your parents for a long time? Some times you may feel insecure with out orders and may have nonsensical actions. In the story Gone by Michael Grant my claim is that Sam both hates and worries for Caine.

Gone is a fiction book based on a small urban area in California. In this story the parents disappear one day and all the children are left to be uncivilized. Eventually Sam becomes the leader of the community. In this book for a mysterious reason some kids gained powers the main examples are Caine who is able to move things with his mind and Sam who can shoot balls of light.

I think this because they have waged war on each other and worked to getter for a common goal. As shown in the first book where Caine attacks Sam and his group. But in later books they have to work together. An example from the story explains "a clear shot with a thought he could kill Caine" here Sam could kill Caine but he decides against it.

After Sam learns of his brother, He has distrust with his mother, He doesn't know what to believe. Sam becomes temporary leader of the community. He attempts to make a stable community when the community is attacked by the kids from Coates academy led by Caine who at the time was Sam's enemy before he knew they were brothers.

Sam is given a choice to stay in the FAYZ or abandon it and let Caine kill the community. Here is Sam's choice "No,I have things to do here." Here you can see that Sam worries about Caine and his personality and the community of the FAYZ.

Sam has mixed feelings for Caine. In the book Gone, Sam has made different decisions towards Caine that effect their relationship.
